Bob Dylan isn't only skipping the rite in Stockholm awarding
him the Nobel Prize in Literature, he's additionally skipping assembly with the
president on Wednesday.
President Barack Obama is scheduled to meet with several
American winners of the Nobel Prize earlier than they officially receive their
award. The White residence plans to make a complete list of attendees available
later.
but White house spokesman Josh Earnest says
"regrettably, for the ones of you thinking, Bob Dylan will not be at the
White residence today, so all people can loosen up."
Earnest says Dylan did not give a cause, but he notes that
Dylan and the president had met previously and "the president enjoyed
assembly him."
In 2012, Obama presented the singer-songwriter with a
Presidential Medal of Freedom.
