Ellen Degeneres details White residence security struggles

Ellen Degeneres nearly overlooked out on receiving her Presidential Medal of Freedom Tuesday after she forgot to carry identity.

The talk show host tweeted a photo of herself ready on a bench outdoor of the White house.

"They have not permit me in to the White house yet due to the fact I forgot my identity," she tweeted, adding that she wasn't joking.

She controlled to make her manner in only over an hour later. She proved it by sharing a video of herself along the opposite recipients, along with celebrities like Robert De Niro, Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen and Robert Redford.

Degeneres become among 21 recipients who are set to receive the honor.

"In 1997, after popping out herself, Degeneres made tv history while her man or woman on 'Ellen' discovered she was a lesbian," the White house stated in a assertion. "In her paintings and in her existence, she has been a passionate endorse for equality and equity."
